Skyrim, the game that pulled me into fantasy rpg games. I used to play this on my cousin’s pc but I couldn’t progress much since they lived in another city, also because I was a kid and all I did was kill everyone in Whiterun.
Bethesda Game Studios, home of the executive producer Todd “the god” Howard. Todd is widely known for leading the development in the Fallout and Elder Scrolls series. 2 famous game franchises, it’s enough for people to start calling you a “god”.
Selling around 20 million copies, Skyrim is one of the most famous open world fantasy rpg games. What started out as an arena game, the Elder Scrolls evolved as technology did.

You start out as a prisoner who’s about to be executed, but is then saved by an ancient dragon called “Alduin”.

As you traverse the province of Skyrim, you realize that you’re more than just a prisoner. You are the Dragonborn, capable of sucking the souls of the dragons you kill. According to the prophecy, you will be the one to banish Alduin from the mortal realm.

But just because some old prophecy says you’re the dragonborn doesn’t mean you can’t be anything else. In the Dawnguard DLC, the player is given the chance to join Vampire Hunters, the Dawnguard, or if you’re feeling blood thirsty, you can join the Vampires.

Skyrim has 3 DLCs, the Dragonborn, Hearthfire, and the Dawnguard. These DLCs add more content to an already action packed open world game. The combat mechanics may be pretty simple and basic, but it has a certain charm to it.

To be honest, Skyrim is a blackhole, in a good and bad way. Bad because life goes on as you sit on your chair while you loot every house for gold, addiction is serious and you should be mindful of your playing time. Good because Skyrim pulls you into its diverse world filled with fantastic creatures. The lore is interesting and you can really tell that Bethesda put a lot of effort into this game. Effort that was well rewarded.

To sum it all up, play this game. Play it and see the wonders that is the province of Skyrim. Just play it. Go.
